Welcome to online hair school My name is Fran Smith from Dublin, Ireland. I have been hairdressing, colouring and barbering for over 25 years. During that time, I've taught some of Irelands finest stylists and Barbers. I've always dedicated my time to training young people coming into the business. Through these experiences, I have identified many fantastic techniques that will help open the secrets and real pleasures to the art of great hairdressing. Hairdressing is not just an art, its a love affair… and if taught well will make the experience so much more enjoyable. 

I started hairdressing in the late seventies, working part time every Saturday in a small gents hairdressing salon in South King Street, Dublin. The salon specialised in gents fashion cuts. I worked there for 3 years and took classes every Wednesday evening after school. I started working full time at 16 as a qualified gents hairstylist but I only lasted a short time I decided I wanted and needed to learn more. I applied to my local PETER MARK hair salon where they where going through a transitional period. I was taught there by Adrian kolinsky teaching director of Vidal Sassoon. I passed my final exams in the Peter Mark school of hairdressing and I was invited to stay and get involved with the Peter Mark artistic team, doing shows and teaching refresher hair cutting courses to senior stylists within the company. I then worked as an educator with matrix doing there in salon training.

I started my own successfull hairdressing company in the mid eighties and I have taught some of Irelands most respected and successfull stylists through new advances in technology, I look forward to sharing all my fantastic experiences with you..
